 Cancer Never Sleeps!

ipaint4hope

Art ■ Purpose ■ Hope So much progress is being made by Cancer Research UK to find cures and improve diagnosis and develop kinder treatments but like everything, the usual fundraising effort has been really hit by Covid-19. Restrictions make all the community events so much harder. Until recently, I haven’t been able to attend community events or exhibitions for so long. So I have relied on this webpage, social media and word of mouth to boost my art sales. Through my personal art sales I have been able to raise £917.70 so far. Thank you to everyone who has donated or bought art, prints or greeting cards. This is a hobby and I really do donate to Cancer Research. Check out my blog - ‘Behind My Canvas’.

I am continuing to focus on developing my art hobby into a steady source of fundrasing. My first ipaint4hope charity art exhibition starts on Monday 30th May 2022 and runs for 2 months, in aid of Cancer Research UK. For full details click here.

Finally, I have launching ipaint4hope merchandise using my Honesty watercolour painting. All profits from my bespoke aprons and tea towels are donated to Cancer Research UK. To see them and for full details click here.

Please feel free to share my webpage with family and friends. Thank you 💜💜💜

RelayforLife

As a two-time breast cancer survivor 10 years apart, I want to do my part to support crucial cancer research. Continued funding and research is vital to finally beat this disease. My first relay as team captain of ‘Iwalk4life’ in 2014 raised over £2,000.

Last year 2020, I wanted to beat this total and had organised two events as captain of ‘The CureMakers’. We planned a June 2020 Summer Solstice sponsored bike ride in Rendlesham Forest and a May 2020 sponsored family and friends walk tackling Schiehallion in Scotland. Due to Covid-19 restrictions these events were cancelled.

Instead I focused on social media for fundraising. Inspite of Covid, I was humbled by the generosity of family and friends and I’m proud to report that my combined 2020/21 fundraising total for the Curemakers was £2182.86

I hope the Curemakers team will regroup in 2023 with a bike riding sponsored event.

In the meantime this year for the 2022 Relay For Life, I’m organising a gallery and online charity art exhibition titled ipaint4hope, full detail here. Fundraising from this event will help research for all cancers.
