Why art? ... The power of art.
Some artists involved in ipaint4hope have turned to art later in life for a creative outlet or as a process of working through illness and recovery.
Art gives us the opportunity to create something special; art has the ability to stir emotion, spur and inspire people to act.
Art can entertain us, communicate to us and provides enjoyment and meaning on so many levels.

The purpose of this charity art exhibition is to support cancer research.
Why cancer research?
Statistics show that approximately 1-in-2 people in the UK will develop some form of cancer in their lifetime – a staggering fact.
In fact, some artists participating in the ipaint4hope exhibition have either survived cancer or have had family and friends affected by the disease.
Why Cancer Research UK?
As the world's largest independent cancer research charity, Cancer Research UK [CRUK] conducts research into the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of the disease.

Cancer Research UK [CRUK] has a vision to bring forward the day when all cancers are cured.
Over the last 40 years, cancer survival in the UK has doubled. In the 1970s just 1 in 4 people survived their disease for 10 years or more. Today 2 in 4 survive. CRUK’s ambition is to accelerate progress and see 3 in 4 patients surviving the disease by 2034.
